01
Product scope
Choose the mobile tasks that benefit from device access and focused interaction.
Use case / Mobile product extension
Add a mobile app without splitting the product experience.
Extend an existing web product into focused mobile tasks with a reliable backend connection.
How do you add a mobile app to an existing web product?
Choose the tasks that benefit from mobile use. Check the existing account rules, API responses, data ownership, and offline needs. Design the app around those contracts, then test one complete task across the web, backend, and mobile surfaces.
The product problem
A mobile app can become a separate product when language, permissions, data, and response states do not match the web experience.
